Master Peptide Reconstitution & Syringe Math Guide

Reconstituting lyophilized peptide powder comes down to three variables: the mass of peptide in the vial (mg), the volume of bacteriostatic water or diluent you add (mL), and the unit scale of your syringe — typically U-100. Every draw on this page is derived from those three numbers.

  1. 1. Concentration. Divide total vial milligrams by total diluent millilitres: mg ÷ mL = mg/mL. A 10 mg vial mixed with 2 mL of BAC water is 5 mg/mL.
  2. 2. Dose volume. Divide your target dose by that concentration to get the liquid volume in millilitres: dose ÷ mg/mL = mL. A 2.5 mg dose at 5 mg/mL is 0.5 mL.
  3. 3. Syringe units. On a U-100 insulin syringe, 1 mL = 100 units, so multiply your millilitres by 100 to land on the exact tick mark: 0.5 mL = 50 units.
